Where Are The Lines?

1 Corinthians 6:9-12: "9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. 12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any."   Paul stated here in verse 12 that all things were lawful to him but not helpful. Th

Are You Frustrating The Graciousness of God?

Romans 3:21-26 Verse 24 "being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Did you ever think about how some people make you feel at home when they have invited you into their home? And sometimes, even though someone has invited you into their home- you still feel uneasy and unwelcome, like they are thinking-- "When are these people going to leave?" I have been there in both of these examples. It is great to feel at home and not so great to not feel at home. God took people who were sinners and invited them into His "home"- His kingdom through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. There is no other way to get to God's house EXCEPT by His grace which came through the redemption of Jesus Christ. Once we are there- we should feel "at home".  We have freely received the grace of God but many times we do not return it. Paul did not frustrate the grace of God. (See Galatians 2:21). Some Christia

Two Things

1 Chronicles 21:16-27 "17 And David said to God, "Was it not I who commanded the people to be numbered? I am the one who has sinned and done evil indeed; but these sheep, what have they done? Let Your hand, I pray, O Lord my God, be against me and my father's house, but not against Your people that they should be plagued."  David had previously sinned by numbering Israel. Sometimes we horde and count what we have. Some churches pride themselves in their membership, how much they give to missions and all the programs that they have. God isn't so much interested in numbers as He is about the quality of those numbers. Are all those people really serving God, living a holy and separated life unto Him? It is wrong even today to count all that we have as if we obtained it by ourselves. What we have has come from God. The first thing I want to point out here is this:  In this text- David real
