God's Plan For You
God has a plan for each person. Because of Adam and Eve's fall, sin entered the world and every individual after that has been born into sin. In the Old Testament laws were set up for animal sacrifices to cover the people's sins. But it was only temporary. But because of His love for mankind, God had a divine plan- a perfect sacrifice. He gave His Son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for sin. Humanity had to have a Savior or we would have continued in sin and everyone would have died in sin without any hope. Jesus Christ IS the only sacrifice- He was the PERFECT sacrifice. But we must accept the sacrifice and live for Him.
SIN
It is a fact of life. It is something that everyone is born into and
something that everyone
will die with
unless you put God’s plan for your life into
action. How would you like it if when you come to the end of your life that
you find out that God had a plan for you, but you never tried it? Don’t let
this happen to you. He does have a plan for every person, but you must accept
it and put it into action in your own life.
The following is God’s plan for you.
All Are Sinners
Isaiah 53:6:
“All we like
sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord
hath laid on him (Jesus Christ) the iniquity of us
all.”
Isaiah 64:6:”But we are all as an
unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…”
Romans 3:12:”They are all gone out of
the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth
good, no, not one.”
Romans 3:23:”For all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23:
“For the wages of sin
is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord.”
Romans 5:8:”But God commendeth
His love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.”
1 Corinthians
15:21-22:”For
since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all
die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
Repentance
To repent means to turn from sin and turn towards God. It is a complete about face.
Acts 2:38:
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Acts 3:19:
“Repent ye
therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times
of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”
Acts 17:30:
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men
everywhere to repent.”
Acts 26:20:
“…repent
and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.”
Romans 2:4:
“..the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.”
The Blood of Jesus Christ
The death of Jesus Christ paid the price for us.
Acts 20:28:”..which He hath
purchased with His own blood.”
Romans 5:9: “Much more then,
being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through
Him.”
Ephesians 1:7: “In whom (Jesus
Christ) we have
redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of His grace.”
Colossians 1:14: “In Whom (Jesus
Christ) we have
redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”
Hebrews 9:22: “…and without
shedding of blood is no remission.”
1 John 1:7: “…the blood of Jesus
Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
Water Baptism by Immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ
Baptism separates us from our sin nature, our old life. It is the covenant of God.
Acts 2:38: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Acts 8:12:
“But when they
believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ,
they were baptized,
both men and women.”
Acts 8:36-39:”..they went down
both into the
water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him…”
Acts 10:48:
“And he commanded
them to be baptized
in the name of the Lord…”
Acts 19:5:
“When they heard
this, they were
baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 22:16:”And now why tarriest
thou? Arise, and be baptized and
wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
Be Filled With The Holy Spirit
Acts 1:8: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
As you can see SIN IN A FACT.
The penalty
is death, spiritual and physical. God has already done His part by shedding His
blood for you. Now the responsibility is up to you. The debt has been paid but
now it is up to you to do your part. Acts 2:38:
“Then Peter said
unto them, Repent,
and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
The Holy Spirit
brings us into a new life and gives us the power to live a life pleasing to
God.
Acts 2:2-4:
“And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all
the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them, cloven tongues
like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
Acts 2:38: “Then Peter said unto
them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for
the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost.”
