Happy New Year

We at the Shepherd's Fold Church want to wish everyone a very blessed New Year. We do not know what will happen in this new year, but we do know the One Who is in charge. Put all your faith and trust in Christ and He will surely keep you safe and direct all your ways.

A few verses to take with you into this new year:

Proverbs 3:5,6  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Psalms 37:5-8  "Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, forsake wrath; do not fret-it only cause harm."

Psalm 91:1-4  "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.' Surely He shall deliver you with from snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feather, and under His wings you shall take refuge."

Matthew 6:33, 34  "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

Psalms 71:14-15  "But as for me, I will always have hope: I will praise You more and more. My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure."

As 2014 quickly unfolds before us, we may find ourselves in situations that we haven't experienced before. Health care laws are changing, the economy may get even worse, more jobs may be lost-- but for those who have put their faith and trust in the Lord- He is faithful to bring us through ANY situation that we may find ourselves in whether is it is sickness, finances, marriage and family relationships, etc. God is faithful!!! Put your total faith and confidence in Him today and watch His mighty hand go to work on your behalf. Determine to make this a year in which you draw closer to Him each and every day, stay in a place of repentance before Him so that you can clearly hear His voice when speaks. Like the Hebrew children of old- God was their Jehovah-Jireh- their Provider. He is our Jehovah-Jireh today.

Isaiah 57:15 "For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; ' I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.'"
