Politically Correct or God Correct?

Acts 4:13-22
19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard." 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done.

The world has changed the wording on many things. It no longer calls sin sin- but "life style" or "choice".  It calls good evil and evil good.  But God doesn't change to suit the trends of the world. What was once sin, is still sin. Wrong is still wrong in God's eyes no matter what the courts or the world  says. His Word does not change.

The Jews spent a lot of time trying to get rid of Jesus. They were always plotting His demise. It was the "religious" rulers that had the biggest problem with Him. Then when Christ was crucified- they thought- now- we will get back to where we were because that "man" no longer lives. But they didn't realize that the disciples were going to continue where Christ left off- and even in a greater way- since they were filled with Christ's Spirit. Even after they imprisoned some of the disciples- it didn't stop them- or God.
Acts 5: 25-31--
25 So one came and told them, saying, c "Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!" 26 Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned. 27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them, 28 saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!" 29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins"

Nothing was going to stop the disciples. They weren't bending down to the "political correctness" of their day. They spoke the Word of God not worrying about what the result was going to be. God had given them a boldness to speak the Word with faith and courage. And so should we! In this day, don't be afraid to speak the Word of God! To stand up for what is right! God will defend His own.
